The purpose of this blog will be as a place to share knowledge, questions, reflections, setbacks, and celebrations as we embark on this journey towards transforming our school to a place where ALL students achieve at high levels.

The title of this blog “A Journey Worth Taking” came from a keynote presentation at Solution Tree’s 2008 Learning Summit: Learning By Doing. I really liked this description because to me the word journey holds so many positive connotations, but it also implies that it will not be a fast or even an easy task and a journey does not even necessarily have an end.

As we embark on this journey we must understand that we will have a lot of hard work ahead of us. We know that it will not be fast and that there will be setbacks and failures; however, we must be willing to persist and forge ahead because the potential successes that can be achieved are real and attainable.

Keep this in mind: IT IS NOT ABOUT US, IT IS ABOUT THE KIDS!
